Dr. Matthew Adasofunjo, MD

Dr. Matthew Adasofunjo, MD, is an accomplished, board-certified Internal Medicine Physician known for his exceptional skills in clinical practice, education, and groundbreaking research. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA. In addition to his academic role, he provides top-notch patient care at the US Veterans Affairs Medical Center, demonstrating his dedication to serving veterans. His involvement as an in-house Principal Investigator at Amity Clinical Research LLC allows him to lead a variety of ongoing studies across different medical specialties, contributing to global healthcare advancement. Dr. Adasofunjo obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He and his family are proud residents of Princeton, New Jersey, where he continues to make a significant impact in the field of medicine and beyond.

Dr. Olufunmilayo Ilori

Dr. Olufunmilayo Ilori, DNP, PMHNP, APN-C, currently holds the position of principal investigator (PI) at Amity Clinical Research LLC. Her role involves overseeing patient enrollment, consent, management, and safety to ensure regulatory compliance. This includes assessing patient eligibility and safety for trial participation, conducting physical examinations, making clinical evaluations, administering investigational products via IM, SQ, and IV, as well as interpreting lab results and diagnostic tests. Dr. Ilori, known affectionately as Dr. Funmi, boasts extensive experience as a psychiatric and mental healthcare practitioner, with over 20 years as a registered nurse and 13 years as an Advanced Practice Nurse across diverse healthcare settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, and her master’s degree in nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ School of Nursing in Newark, New Jersey. Additionally, she holds a doctorate in Nursing from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ilori is dedicated to achieving optimal patient outcomes by strictly following evidence-based practices and addressing patient apprehensions to ensure comprehensive treatment understanding. Furthermore, she serves as a Behavioral Medicine Consultant with the Overlook Hospital Cancer Center in Summit, NJ, and is the Founder and CEO of Amity Healthcare Services, LLC in Union, NJ. Dr. Ilori’s profound nursing expertise and educational background have prepared her to provide substantial support to healthcare facilities in delivering exceptional care and services.

Dr. Tolulope O. Kolawole

Dr. Tolulope O. Kolawole, DNP, PMHNP, APN-C, is an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner with 18 years of nursing experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey, a master’s degree in nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, and a doctorate in Nursing from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kolawole specializes in treating conditions such as anxiety, panic disorder, attention deficit disorder (ADD-ADHD), bipolar disorder/manic depressive illness, depression, and related conditions. In clinical trials, she serves as a principal investigator (PI) at Amity Clinical Research LLC. Her responsibilities include overseeing patient enrollment, consent, management, and safety to ensure compliance. She assesses patient eligibility and safety for trial participation, conducts physical examinations, makes clinical evaluations, administers investigational products via IM, SQ, and IV, and interprets lab results and diagnostic tests. Dr. Kolawole is committed to achieving optimal patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based practices/investigations and addressing patient concerns to ensure comprehensive treatment understanding. She values the input of all clinical team members and considers their suggestions and feedback to improve results and enhance patient satisfaction.
